evenclo is an event management platform built for organisers in Egypt: registration, ticketing in Egyptian pounds, check-in, badges, exhibitors and reports, in Arabic and English. Most platforms in this category were built for another market and adapted later. That shows up in six places, and they are worth testing before you sign anything, evenclo included.
1. Money in pounds, the ways people actually pay
Card payment has to settle in EGP through a gateway that works here, and it should not be the only door. Ask whether the checkout offers mobile wallets and pay-at-kiosk, whether a bank transfer can be a first-class payment rather than an email to finance, and whether a sale at the desk on the day lands in the same order list as a sale online.
2. Arabic that is right-to-left, not translated
Open the Arabic registration form on a phone. The layout should flip, not just the words. Then check the parts nobody demos: the badge, the confirmation message, the certificate and the export. A bilingual event should be one event with one attendee list, not two sites that drift apart.
3. A door that works when the network does not
Exhibition halls and hotel ballrooms lose signal at exactly the moment the doors open. Ask what the check-in app does offline. It should keep scanning, keep a queue on the device, and sync when the connection returns. The same goes for exhibitors scanning leads in the hall.
4. WhatsApp before email
In Egypt, an email confirmation is often never opened. A platform should send confirmations and reminders over WhatsApp from your own number with approved templates, and send campaigns only to people who opted in.
5. Data protection
Egypt’s data protection law is enforceable from November 2026. Ask how consent is recorded, how one person’s data is exported or erased, and where the data is hosted. Our guide to the law for organisers has the checklist.
6. Limits the vendor should tell you about
Every platform has them, and a vendor who will not name theirs is telling you something. evenclo’s, as of October 2026:
- There is no live streaming or virtual event venue. evenclo is for events that happen in a room.
- Card payments run through Paymob in EGP. Bank transfer also accepts USD, EUR, SAR and AED.
